The newly formed Danish men’s doubles pair, Rasmus Kjær and Christian Faust Kjær, claimed their first victory together this morning, defeating world No. 27 Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub Azriyn/Tan Wee Kiong of Malaysia.
The match went all the way down to the wire before the Danes could finally raise their arms in celebration, winning 21–19, 13–21, 22–20.

Their next round will be even tougher, as they face the world’s No. 5 pair, Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun, also from Malaysia.

Tonight/tomorrow, several European players will be in action in their first-round matches, including Alexandra Bøje/Mathias Christiansen, Magnus Johannesen, and Rasmus Gemke. The first matches starts at 11 pm tonight.
