Johannesen, Louda, Azurmendi and more to compete in Graz

Austrian Open 2025 has just begun in Graz and you can watch it live on Badmintoneurope.tv.

The next stop on the European Circuit is here. From today, Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 May, Graz will host the Austrian Open 2025, an International Series tournament featuring top European names.

There is a strong lineup competing in this week’s tournament. In men’s singles, names like Magnus Johannesen, Denmark, and Jan Louda, Czechia, headline the men’s singles draw, while Amalie Schulz, Denmark, and Clara Azurmendi, Spain, are among the key players to watch in women’s singles.

Switzerland’s Yann Orteu/Minh Quang Pham in men’s doubles and Caroline Racloz/Lucie Amiguet in women’s doubles are among the highlights in the draw, while Spain’s Ruben Garcia/Lucia Rodriguez will be one of the strongest pairs in mixed doubles.

Austrian players will be in full force on home soil, including Collins Valentine Filimon, Gustav Andree/Armin Sarosi, Sarah Dlapka/Lena Rumpold, and Wolfgang Gnedt and Katrin Neudolt in the qualification rounds.

From the RSL BEC Centre of Excellence, Dimitar Yanakiev will be in action in the main draw. He’ll face top seed Magnus Johannesen in the opening round, a tough start but an exciting clash.
