This week, the Asian leg of the tour continues with another Super 500 event, the PERODUA Malaysia Masters 2025. The qualification rounds have now finished, with two European men’s doubles pairs advancing to the main draw.

Julien Maio/William Villeger got a confident win over Zhi-Wei He/Huang Jui-Hsuan, Chinese Taipei. With both pairs ranked closely, just four spots apart in the world rankings, the French duo won in swift straight-games, 21-19 21-15. In the first round of the main draw, they will face Korea’s Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang.

Also advancing are Denmark’s sensation William Kryger Boe/Christian Faust Kjær, who delivered a strong performance against Malaysian pair Chia Weijie/Lwi Sheng Hao, winning 21-9 21-16. They’ll hope to carry that momentum into their next match, against another Malaysian duo, Kang Khai Xing/Aaron Tai.

In singles, Julien Carraggi will not continue to the main draw in Kuala Lumpur. The Belgian was looking to make a breakthrough in Asia but lost to Vietnam’s Le Duc Phat, 19-21 18-21. Carraggi posted on Instagram, reflecting on the result: “Not the result I was hoping for […] but that’s how it goes sometimes. Time to go home and work hard towards new goals and prepare for US and Canada Open.”

With the main draw already in full swing, we have more European Men's doubles players in action – Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard, Eloi Adam/Leo Rossi, top seeds Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, and seventh seeds Rasmus Kjær/Frederik Søgaard.
