Brothers and Champions
13/04/25 21:09

Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov have just claimed their first gold medals at the European Championships. In a high tempo and intense final against fellow countrymen Eloi Adam and Leo Rossi, the Popov brothers came out on top.

The first set saw the Popovs take an early lead and control the game with confidence. But in the second set, Adam and Rossi found their rhythm. The two pairs battled point for point in a thrilling display. With the energy and explosiveness Adam and Rossi have shown all week, they managed to push the Popovs to the limit and took the second set 21 to 18.

In the third set, the brothers once again started strong, building up a solid lead. At 18 to 10 it looked like a comfortable win was in the bag. But as they have proven before, Adam and Rossi are never out of the fight. A stunning comeback brought the score to 18 to 17, but Toma Junior Popov showed his experience in the final moments, securing a few key points that sealed the victory at 21 to 18.

A massive congratulations to Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov and the entire French team.
