Christo Popov and Anders Antonsen add another bronze to their résumés, but both may be hoping for a brighter medal in the near future.
For the second week in a row, Christo Popov claimed a bronze medal, this time at a Super 750 event. At the same time, Anders Antonsen also secured bronze, his third consecutive medal after the World Championships and the China Open.
For Popov, the event included strong wins against players such as Chou Tien Chen and Kunlavut Vitidsarn, who retired in the second game due to exhaustion.
Antonsen also faced tough competition, overcoming his childhood friend Rasmus Gemke, the ever-impressive Ng Ka Long Angus, and his friend and rival Alex Lanier, before falling to Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chun-Yi.
Antonsen has now arrived in Korea for this week’s SUWON VICTOR Korea Open 2025, where he is the top seed and will hope to produce another strong performance.
The winners of the China Masters 2025 were:
Men’s singles: Weng Hong Yang (China)
Women’s singles: An Se Young (Korea)
Men’s doubles: Kim Won Ho/Seo Seung Jae (Korea)
Women’s doubles: Jia Yi Fan/Zhang Shu Xian (China)
Mixed doubles: Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran (Thailand)
