Christo Popov entered the World Tour Finals as the lowest-ranked player in his group, yet after three group matches he stands with three victories and a place in tomorrow’s semifinals.

First, he defeated Anders Antonsen 21–19 in the third game.
Then, he overcame Kunlavut Vitidsarn 21–10 in the deciding game.
And now, he has just beaten Jonatan Christie 21–13 in the third game.

World ranking numbers 2, 3 and 5 — an outstanding achievement by the young Frenchman.
 

Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue faced a do-or-die match today against Hiroki Midorikawa and Natsu Saito. With a semifinal spot on the line, the French pair fought for 1 hour and 7 minutes but were eventually defeated 21–14, 21–23, 21–14, bringing an impressive season for the pair to an end.

Another player facing a deciding match is Anders Antonsen, who will shortly take on Kunlavut Vitidsarn to decide who will join Christo Popov in the semifinals.
