The YONEX Czech Open 2025 will take place this week, from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th October in Prague. All matches will be streamed live on BadmintonEurope.tv.

An International Challenge tournament, the highest level in the European Circuit, always attracts strong talent from around the world, and this week is no exception. Among those competing in Czechia are Finland’s Joakim Oldorff and Kalle Koljonen who last week competed at the World Tour’s Arctic Open on home soil, as well as Rasmus Espersen/Amalie Cecilie Kudsk, Serena Au Yeong/Anna Hagspiel, and Malik Bourakkadi/Kenneth Neumann.

The level among home players is also high. Women’s singles is one of the strongest disciplines for Czechia, with sixth seed Tereza Švábíková, Petra Maixnerová, and Lucie Krulová all in the main draw. Czechia’s top pairs are also competing, including fourth seeds Soňa Hořínková/Kateřina Zuzáková, and second seeds Jiří Král/Ondřej Král. The latter will also play mixed doubles, partnered with Švábíková. Home players will have many strong chances to perform well in Prague.
