Dimitar Yanakiev wins home title in Sofia

The YONEX Bulgarian International Championship 2025 took place last week in Sofia, Bulgaria.

One of the standout results in the Future Series came from top seed Dimitar Yanakiev, who won the men’s singles title. The RSL BEC High Performance Centre player delivered strong performances throughout the event. In the final, he defeated France’s Yohan Barbieri in straight games, 21-16 21-13, to take the only title for Bulgaria.
