The 2025 European U17 Team Championships kicked off today in Lanzarote, Spain, with the first day of the group stage delivering a promising start. With three days of group stages, these opening matches are crucial, but there is still plenty of room for teams to climb the table.

Every team stepped on court today for their opening clash, while the two bigger groups played twice. In Group 8, Bulgaria came out on top with two victories, and hosts Spain matched that great result in Group 7 by securing two wins on home soil.

But we still have two more days of group action. Tomorrow follows the same format, starting at 10am (CET) and split into four sessions. Groups will start to take shape and we’ll be able to see early leaders.
