Even with a limited European presence at this Super 500, Europe is still represented in all five categories when play begins on the 11th of November in Kumamoto.

In men's singles, Rasmus Gemke will face 8th seeded Alwi Farhan in the first round, while Magnus Johannesen enters from qualification after his impressive runner-up finish at the HYLO Open last week.

In women's singles, Tereza Svabikova is seeded fifth and will open against Michelle Li, while Keisha Fatimah Azzahra is also in the main draw.

In men's doubles, Christian Faust Kjær/Rasmus Kjær play their first tournament together as a new pair.

Margot Lambert/Camille Pognante return to action in women's doubles after celebrating their first World Tour title at the HYLO Open.

Mixed doubles includes both HYLO finalists, and two seeded European pairs: Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue and Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje. If both win their opening rounds they will already clash in the quarterfinals — despite being the only two European pairs in the category.
