The YONEX Estonian International 2026 delivered a strong start to the BEC Circuit season, with a mix of expected victories and notable performances.
In men’s singles, Japan’s Minoru Koga claimed the title, while Denmark’s Mads Christophersen opened his year with a silver medal. Following the final, Christophersen described the result on social media as an “almost perfect” way to start the year, highlighting a positive start to his 2026 run.
The men’s doubles title went to Denmark’s Rasmus Kjær/Christian Faust Kjær, who entered the tournament as overwhelming favourites. As active players in the Danish national team and regular competitors on the World Tour, the pair expectedly won all of their matches in straight games. The tournament formed part of their effort to collect ranking points as they work towards returning fully to the World Tour.
Germany celebrated a strong result in mixed doubles, where Jonathan Dresp/Selin Hübsch secured the title after an all-German final. Defeating their fellow countrymen, the victory marked a significant achievement and a positive milestone for German badminton early in the season.
In women’s singles, India’s Rujula Ramu took the title, while Denmark’s Frederikke Østergaard claimed a solid silver medal, adding another strong Danish result in Tallinn. The women’s doubles trophy went to Zi Low/ Noraqilah Maisarah, with Audrey Chang/Jasmine Yeung finishing runners-up after a consistent week, rounding off a competitive women’s programme at the YONEX Estonian International 2026.
