Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue closed an excellent week at the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships 2026 with a silver medal, finishing as runners-up in the Super 1000 tournament.

The French pair lost the final to Chinese Taipei’s Ye Hong Wei/Nicole Gonzales Chan, who secured the title with a 21-19 21-18 victory.

Despite the result, Gicquel/Delrue had an outstanding run in Birmingham, defeating several top pairs on their way to the final, including world number two and world number six.

Reflecting on the match and the week overall, the French pair acknowledged both the disappointment and the positives they take from the tournament.
