Finland and Spain step up for Thomas & Uber Cup Finals

The BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026 line-up has been updated following the withdrawals of Germany's men's team and France's women's team. Their spots have been taken by fellow European teams Finland and Spain respectively.

The event is taking place in Horsens, Denmark, from 24 April to 3 May 2026, with 16 teams competing in each event.

With Germany's withdrawal from the Thomas Cup, Finland – next in line from Europe based on world ranking – accepted the invitation. In the Uber Cup, Spain stepped in after both Scotland and Germany declined the spot.

Europe will be represented by five nations in the Thomas Cup: Denmark, England, Finland, France, and Sweden, and five in the Uber Cup: Denmark, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Spain.
