Germany secures three gold medals on home soil in Bonn: wrap-up

It was a golden weekend for Germany at the YONEX Bonn International 2025, a Future Series tournament held on home soil, where the hosts secured three titles. 

In women’s singles, Miranda Wilson clinched the gold medal, her second consecutive Future Series title following her win at the Malta International 2025 presented by VICTOR in April. A strong run of form for the German, who continues to build momentum this season. expressing on Instagram "The joy is great, the fatigue is greater." 

In Men's Doubles, Germany’s Jonatan Dresp/Simon Krax claimed their first international title as a pair, defeating European Junior Champion Thibault Gardon/Ewan Goulin in the final. A big result for the newly formed duo, signaling their potential.

Gardon’s Mixed Doubles partner Kathell Desmots-Chacun, also a European Junior Champion, secured a title of her own. Teaming up with Agathe Cuevas, the French pair won the women’s doubles event — their first gold medal at the senior European Circuit level, marking a crucial turning point of their career with a gold at the Senior level.

Jan Colin Völker/Stine Küspert marked their return as a pair in impressive fashion. Competing in their first tournament of 2025, they captured the mixed doubles title, it is their first gold since the YONEX Welsh International Badminton Championships 2023.

In men’s singles, Canada’s Joshua Nguyen overcame Azerbaijan’s Ade Resky Dwicahyo to take the title.

The European Circuit continues on the 11th of June with the VICTOR Latvia International 2025.
