On Wednesday, five days of intense qualification began for next year’s European Men’s & Women’s Team Championships main tournament.

A total of eight nations in the men’s competition and eight nations in the women’s competition will compete at the final event. Even before qualification started, three nations in the men’s competition and two nations in the women’s competition had already secured their places.
In the men’s event, these were Denmark, France and Türkiye.
In the women’s event, Denmark and Türkiye were already qualified.

This meant that the remaining five places in the men’s competition and six places in the women’s competition were to be decided through qualification.

After five days of top-class badminton played across the continent, the final shuttles have now landed. As a result, we now know all 16 teams that will compete for the European Team Championships trophies from 11–15 February 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye.

In the men’s competition, the qualified nations are:

• Denmark
• England
• Finland
• France
• Germany
• Spain
• Sweden
• Türkiye

In the women’s competition, the qualified nations are:

• Bulgaria
• Czechia
• Denmark
• Estonia
• France
• Germany
• Türkiye
• Ukraine

The draw for the final tournament will take place on 15 December and can be watched live on badmintoneurope.tv.
