Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje are through to the final of the DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters 2026 after an incredible comeback in the third set against the home favourites Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Pasaribu.
After two extremely close opening games, the Danes found themselves down 11–4 in the deciding third set, and it looked almost impossible against an Indonesian pair that had played the first half of the set at an exceptionally high level. But after the interval, the Danes suddenly found solutions, while the Indonesians appeared to grow nervous towards the end of the match as they faced what could have been one of the biggest results of their partnership.
The Danes quickly closed the seven-point gap after the interval, and suddenly the score was 15–15. Riding the momentum, they went on to secure their second final appearance in two weeks with a 20–22, 21–19, 21–17 victory.
The two pairs last met in the semifinals of Christiansen and Bøje’s comeback tournament, the Macao Open, a tournament that the Danes went on to win.
In tomorrow’s final, the Danes will face the world champions Chen/Toh from Malaysia.
