After a successful last week with the YONEX Dutch Open 2025, which featured strong audience attendance, high production quality, and top-level badminton, the European Circuit now moves on to Istanbul, Türkiye, for another International Challenge tournament.
Türkiye, a growing badminton host nation
In 2024, the European Circuit returned to Türkiye for the first time in several years. Now in 2025, Türkiye is establishing itself as a major badminton hub.
Following the VICTOR European Para Badminton Championships 2025 held last week, Istanbul will host the VICTOR Türkiye International Challenge 2025, and next month, another event — the VICTOR Türkiye International Championships 2025 (Future Series) — will also take place in the city.
Adding to this impressive calendar, Türkiye will also host one of Badminton Europe’s major events, the 2026 European Men's & Women's Team Championships.
Türkiye’s top hopes
After strong performances at the Al Ain Masters 2025, Türkiye’s top stars — Neslihan Arin, Bengisu Erçetin/Nazlıcan İnci, and Yasemen Bektaş/Emre Sönmez — return home with medals and momentum, giving local fans plenty to look forward to when they play on home soil this week.
