Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard have secured the biggest result of their careers, winning the Malaysia Masters 2026 and claiming their first-ever BWF World Tour Super 500 title.

The Danish pair arrived in Kuala Lumpur without ever having played a Super 500 final before. However, they completed a remarkable week by going all the way and lifting the trophy on Sunday.

In the final, Lundgaard and Vestergaard produced another impressive performance, defeating the home favourites and top Malaysian pair, Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin, 21-16, 21-17.

Throughout the tournament, the Danes displayed outstanding form, recording impressive victories over several strong opponents, including China's Huang Di and Liu Yang, as well as Japan's Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi.
