Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard have reached the biggest final of their careers after booking a place in the Malaysia Masters Super 500 final.

The Danish pair defeated Malaysia’s Yap Roy King and Arif Junaidi 21-19, 21-17 in Saturday’s semifinal to secure their first-ever final at Super 500 level.

It continues an impressive week for the Danes, who have produced a series of strong performances throughout the tournament.

In Sunday’s final, Lundgaard and Vestergaard will face another Malaysian pair, Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin, with the title on the line.

Regardless of the outcome, the result marks a great milestone for the Danish duo and another step forward in their path towards the top pairs in the world.
