Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard caused a big opening day upset at the DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters 2026. The Danes have knocked out top seeds Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik in a three-game clash.

The Danes narrowly lost the first game despite a late comeback from 16-20 to 20-20, before the Malaysians took it 20-22. Lundgaard/Vestergaard made a comeback in the second, 21-19, taking it to three games. They then took the lead throughout most of the deciding game, gradually making the gap in the score bigger as the game progressed, closing the game 21-16 to win big in Jakarta.
