Rasmus Gemke, and the mixed doubles pairs Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue and Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje are all on to the next round in the Kumamoto Masters Japan 2025.

This was after a tough first day, where no Europeans saw themselves through to the next round.

Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue will face Chen Cheng Kuan/Hsu Yin Hui from Chinese Taipei, who they beat at the All England earlier this year. Mathas Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje will meet Kazuki Shibata/Hina Osawa who they have not faced before. Should they both win, the French and the Danish pair will meet each other in the quarterfinal, in a repeat of the HYLO Open final.

Rasmus Gemke for his part beat Lee Chia Hao from Chinese Taipei and will also play tomorrow's round, either against Prannoy H.S. or Leong Jun Hao.
