The next tournament on the Badminton Europe Future Series calendar is officially underway, as the VICTOR Latvia International 2025 begins this week in Latvia with the qualification rounds Wednesday and at the start of Thursday. The entire tournament will be streamed live both on badmintoneurope.tv and the official tournament website, offering fans full access to every match.
This week’s draw features a wide range of exciting players, including several young European talents aiming to make their mark.
One to watch is 20-year-old Sophia Noble from Ireland. After reaching the final of last week’s Bonn International, where she lost to Germany’s Miranda Wilson, Noble comes into the Latvia International as the second seed. With strong recent form, eyes will be on whether she can make it to the podium once again.
Another young women’s singles prospect in the spotlight is 19-year-old Nelly Nyquist from Finland. Nyquist has not competed in international tournaments since the 2025 European Championships, where she exited in the first round against Czech player Tereza Å vábÃková.
The tournament also features several representatives from Badminton Europe’s High Performance Centre. Among them are:
- Carl Claeson (Sweden)
- Marcus Kruse (Denmark)
- Joel König (Switzerland)
- The Van Densel brothers (Belgium)
These athletes will be looking to gain valuable match experience and ranking points as they continue their progression on the international circuit.
