No more Europeans left in Australia
21/11/25 10:11

The last remaining European players have just lost their quarterfinal matches at the Australian Open Super 500.
Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje and Rasmus Gemke were the final Europeans in the draw, but the quarterfinals became the end of the road for their Australian Open campaigns.

Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje were defeated 17–21 21–16 21–13 by Indonesia’s Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, currently ranked No. 11 in the world.
Rasmus Gemke lost 22–20 21–13 to Japan’s Yushi Tanaka.

It was also the last Super 500 of the year, and that means there are only a few smaller tournaments left on the World Tour this season, in addition to the World Tour Finals, which will be played in mid-December.

If you want more live badminton action, the Scottish Open is currently underway and can be watched either here on BadmintonEurope.com or on BadmintonEurope.tv.
