Rasmus Kjær and Frederik Søgaard have ended their partnership on their own accord, Badminton Denmark states in a press release.

"They've had a great partnership and achieved great victories, but we naturally respect their choice to stop the partnership," states Thomas Stavngaard, the Danish National Head Coach,

Kjær/Kjær, new partnership
Badminton Denmark's leadership has in relation to this decision made the move to pair up Rasmus Kjær and Chrsistian Faust Kjær. The latter was recently able to secure a silver medal at the Thailand Open, a Super 500 tournament, with his now former partner William Kryger Boe.

On this new partnership, Stavngaard says: "We think Rasmus and Christian have very strong abilities that will compliment each other. Now they'll get some time to work on their playstyle together, but we believe that they have the potential to develop into a worldclass men's doubles pair."

Frederik Søgaard's uncertain future
This means that Frederik Søgaard and William Kryger Boe now stand without partners. Speaking on Frederik Søgaard's behalf, Thomas Stavnsgaard states: "We hope that Frederik wants to continue his badminton career, since he is a great player. At the same time, we have the fullest respect if he needs a break to think about his future. We will give him time for that and we'll make a plan together thereafter."

So at this point, it is uncertain what is next for Frederik Søgaard as well as for the young William Kryger Boe.
