The final Super 500 tournament of the year takes place this week in Sydney, Australia, as the SATHIO GROUP Australian Open 2025 gets underway tomorrow. European participation is limited, but there are still valuable ranking points and important opportunities on the line.

In men’s doubles, Denmark fields the newly formed pair Rasmus Kjær and Christian Faust Kjær. This will be only their second tournament together, following last week’s narrow first-round loss in Japan, where they fell 21–19 in the third game. The Danes are the only European representatives in the men’s doubles draw.

There are no European pairs in women’s doubles, but in mixed doubles Denmark’s Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje enter the tournament as genuine title contenders after a string of strong performances in recent months. Germany’s Celvin Deveux and Desiree Toepffer also feature in the mixed doubles field.

In women’s singles, France’s Romane Cloteaux-Foucault is the sole European competitor, while the men’s singles draw includes Rasmus Gemke and Magnus Johannesen from Denmark.

Qualifying rounds begin locally tomorrow at 9:00 a.m., which corresponds to 11:00 p.m. CET tonight due to the time difference.
