Sean Vendy: "it is what dreams are made of"
14/02/26 14:42

In the semifinal between Denmark and England, England have just levelled the tie at 1–1. Ben Lane and Sean Vendy defeated Europe’s highest-ranked men’s doubles pair, Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, 21–19, 21–17.

In the opening match, Anders Antonsen needed three games and 75 minutes before he could leave the court victorious against Harry Huang 21-9 23-25 21-15.

England, who have not reached a final since 2018, are radiating energy, with the players on court being carried forward by their teammates. It is something the players can clearly feel — and something Ben Lane and Sean Vendy truly relish.

Sean Vendy "This is kind of the best, the best of the best really. Playing with the boys. We don't often get to compete as a team, it's an individual sport 99% of the time, so to come out with the boys and put on a good performance, it is what dreams are made of. So hopefully we get another chance of doing that tomorrow"

Whether the dream will have a happy ending will be decided over the next few hours.

Right now, Rasmus Gemke is facing Cholan Kayan.
