Day 4 of the 2026 European Championships has just kicked off.

Today marks the moment when the remaining top stars enter the tournament. The seeded pairs ranked 1–8 in men’s doubles have been watching from the sidelines until now, as their opponents were decided in earlier rounds. Among the big names making their first appearance today are Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Ben Lane/Sean Vendy. The Danish duo will already be in action in the second round, where they face the home pair Jacobo Fernandez/Alberto Perals.

In addition, today is also the day we will find the first medalists. In mixed doubles and women’s doubles, the quarterfinals will be played, meaning that by the end of the day, the first eight pairs guaranteed a medal will be decided.

In today’s BEC Court 1 Spotlight, three matches will take center stage later this afternoon and evening, with no matches being played on the other two courts during that time. The featured matches are:
