For the fifth time, Stefani and Gabriela Stoeva have won the European Championships. They secured the title with a 21–11, 21–17 victory over Bengisu Erçetin and Nazlıcan İnci from Türkiye. It marks the best result for Erçetin/İnci, who previously won a bronze medal at the 2024 European Championships.

The Bulgarian sisters have been completely dominant in the women’s doubles category throughout the week, progressing through the championship without conceding more than 14 points in a single game before today’s final.

Stefani Stoeva "We are really happy. After the Team Event title (European Women’s Team Championships in February), this was our main goal."

Being able to live the life of professional badminton players, travel the world, and experience it all together as sisters is something the Stoevas truly value.

Stefani "It is really amazing that we can share these moments together. We have had our bad moments, but I think they have been a lesson for us. We learned so much from that, and it made us work harder and play as one."

In addition to their five European Championship gold medals, the sisters have also won two European Games titles in 2015 and 2023.

With today’s victory, the Stoeva sisters become the most successful women’s doubles pair in European Championships history. Before today, the record was held by Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christina Pedersen, who won four titles together between 2012 and 2017.

Huge congratulations to Gabriella and Stefani Stoeva and the whole Bulgarian team.
