While many of Europe’s top players have headed to Hong Kong for the Super 500 LI-NING Hong Kong Open 2025, others will be competing at the YONEX SUNRISE Vietnam Open 2025, a Super 100 tournament kicking off tomorrow.

The tournament will take place from Tuesday 9th to Sunday 14th October in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, offering many big opportunities for players not competing in the Super 500 event.

Some Europeans will start in the qualification rounds, including England’s Leona Lee, Spain’s Jacobo Fernandez/Alberto Perals, Daniel Franco/Carmen María Jiménez, and Rodrigo Sanjurjo/Nikol Carulla, all hoping to break into the main draw.

In the main draw, we’ll see strong Spanish presence, with players like Clara Azurmendi and Rubén García/Lucía Rodríguez ready to compete. Also in the mix are Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje, continuing their comeback and looking to keep on climbing the rankings. The Danish duo defeated top seeds Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping at the World Championships, showing that they’re here to reclaim their spot among the best – it will be exciting to follow them here in Vietnam.
